By outlining all the elements necessary to transform data into knowledge and then into business results, the paper helps managers understand that human performance elements must be attended to in addition to technology. The experience of over 20 companies who were successful in their datato-knowledge efforts helps us present both the critical success factors that must be present as well as specific, tangible advice for companies seeking to build a robust analytic capability.
